The primary mission of Planned Giving Design Center, LLC is to develop products and services for the charitable gift and estate planning industry that assist others in their efforts to increase philanthropy.

PGDC Solutions Group assists clients in the development and use of PGDC's products to further their nonprofit, corporate or individual mission in the field of charitable gift and estate planning.


Charles E. Rounds Jr, Fiduciary Consultant

For 35 years and counting I have been practicing, teaching, and writing almost exclusively in that corner of the law that relates to the fiduciary duties and liabilities of trustees and agents.


David Wheeler Newman

I provide highly personalized tax and estate planning counsel to families, with some relationships spanning decades into the next generation of those families.

As chair of my law firm's charitable sector practice, I represent foundations, donors and charities in negotiation and drafting of gift agreements to establish endowments, construct facilities and fund programs, including provisions covering restrictions on the use of funds, conditions to performance obligations and donor recognition through naming opportunities.


Dennis Walsh, CPA

Dennis Walsh, CPA serves as a volunteer consultant to religious workers and exempt organizations, focusing on financial management, legal compliance, and organizational development. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, he completed the Duke University certificate program in nonprofit management and is a member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.

Randy Fox is the Editor-In-Chief of the Planned Giving Design Center. We are proud to have Randy as our guiding light on the PGDC for the field of Philanthropy.

Randy Fox is a nationally known wealth strategist, philanthropic estate planner, educator and speaker dedicated to helping individuals, professional advisors, charitable institutions and planned giving organizations do well while doing good. His collaborative approach facilitates clients’ ability to preserve and transform wealth in ways that honor their goals and passions while passing values, responsibility and stewardship ethics to their heirs. 

He is the founder of Two Hawks Consulting, LLC, a national consultant to advisors and attorneys


Richard L. Fox, Esq.

Richard L. Fox, Esq. is a shareholder in the Philadelphia office of the law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC.  He concentrates his practice in the areas of charitable giving, private foundations, tax-exempt organizations, estate planning, trusts and estates, and family planning.  Mr. Fox is the author of the treatise, Charitable Giving; Taxation, Planning and Strategies, a Warren, Gorham and Lamont publication, writes a national quarterly bulletin on charitable giving, and writes and speaks frequently on issues pertaining to nonprofit organizations, estate planning and philanthropy.

Bryan K. Clontz, CFP®, CLU, ChFC, CAP, AEP

Bryan is the founder and President of Charitable Solutions, LLC, specializing in non-cash asset receipt and liquidation, gift annuity reinsurance brokerage, gift annuity risk management audits, emergency assistance funds and life insurance appraisals/audits.


Ron Brown

Ron Brown has served as Director of Gift Planning for Princeton University, United Way of America, the National Wildlife Federation, Fordham University, and from July 2015 to the present, Senior Philanthropic Advisor for Gift Planning at Columbia University. He serves as a Board member, a member of the Rates Committee, and chair of the Research Committee for the American Council on Gift Annuities (ACGA); he wrote the national Gift Annuity Survey Reports in 2014 and 2010.  He is a board member of the Philanthropic Planning Group of Greater New York and a member of the Planned Giving Advisory Council for the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, the Planned Giving Advisory Committee for Princeton University, and the CANARAS Gift Planning Council.


Gary Shunk

Since 1992, Gary S. Shunk, Principal of Family Wealth Dynamics, has been serving multi-generational families of wealth successfully navigate the qualitative challenges of affluence. He works closely with families to address issues with distinct resonance for the wealthy, transforming conflict, poor communication and lack of trust into greater harmony, positive relationships, improved family dynamics and enhanced overall fulfillment. Alan Breus, Appraiser of Fine Arts, Rare Books and Documents

As one of the top estate appraisers in California, Alan advises and consults with universities, charities, brokerage firms and accounting firms in the areas of estate tax, insurance and non-cash related donations of fine art objects and insurance related financial instruments. Alan’s educational background includes degrees in Art History from The New School and Appraisal Studies from New York University, as well as advanced studies in Insurance, underwriting and financial planning. He is uniquely qualified to appraise donated life insurance policies.


Steven L. Meyers, Ph.D.

Steven L Meyers, PhD, is the author of Personalized Philanthropy: Crash the Fundraising Matrix. He pioneered a new kind of charitable gift practice that delivers on the too often unfulfilled promise (and joy!) of planned giving: "the right gift, for the right purpose, for the right donor." His innovative donor-focused gift designs are fittingly called “killer apps.” They are game-changers because they enable donors to tap into their entire lifetime capacity to create larger gifts with greater impact sooner. Prior to his own practice, Steve served as a vice president and member of the management team at the Weizmann Institute’s American Committee for 21 years. He holds a Masters Degree in Organization and Management from Antioch University and a Ph.D. from the University of Buffalo. Now, as Chief Content Officer with TheEightPrinciples, Steve’s quest is to integrate personalized philanthropy with the principles of sustainable fundraising. Bruce DeBoskey, is a Colorado-based Philanthropic Strategist with The DeBoskey Group, a national consulting practice he founded to help individuals and families, businesses and foundations design and implement thoughtful philanthropic strategies and actionable plans to achieve meaningful impact for themselves and the world.


Robert T. Napier

Robert T. Napier helps a wide range of clients protect their wealth and families through creative, but conservative, estate planning.  He represents individuals, families, foundations, closely-held corporations, and fiduciaries.

Mr. Napier has administered countless estates that range from simple to complex with some involving contentious beneficiaries.


Todd Fithian

Todd Fithian is a 20 year veteran, and third generation producer in the financial services industry. Todd formed his own wealth advisory firm in Boston soon after graduating from The University of Massachusetts, then later joined forces with his late brother, Scott, in 1996 to form The Legacy Companies – a professional training, consulting and coaching organization serving financial advisors and institutions in North America and abroad. Legacy’s systems and processes are designed to enhance the critical conversations with wealth holders while providing an unforgettable client experience.


Rodney C. Zeeb, JD

Rod Zeeb is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Heritage Institute, and co-developer of The Heritage Process.TM   The Heritage Institute provides training in the discipline of Heritage Design, and professional certification in The Heritage Process.TM    The Institute also conducts and distributes original research, offers mentoring, coaching and marketing support for professional advisors who wish to provide heritage design to their constituents, and provides consulting services directly to individuals and families.


Thomas M. Hubler

When Thomas M. Hubler began his family business consulting practice in 1980, he was one of the few professionals addressing family-owned businesses in the United States. Hubler has over 35 years of experience of working with families. While a good portion of that experience has been in working with business families, at the same time he is noted for his ability for peacemaking within families. In his early career, he was a marriage and family therapist and, after receiving a Bush Fellowship in 1977, he pioneered the concept of succession planning in family owned businesses.

Jane Peebles, Attorney

Jane Peebles is a Partner in Karlin & Peebles, LLP in Los Angeles. She is certified by the California State Bar Association as a specialist in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law. Ms. Peebles is also a frequent lecturer and author on a variety of domestic and international estate and charitable planning topics. Ranked a Southern California Super Lawyer and a Best Lawyer in America in the specialty of Trusts and Estates each year since 2008, Ms. Peebles has dedicated her practice to estate, international and charitable planning. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.


Dan Rice, Philanthropy Architect

Dan Rice serves as the President, CEO and Chairman of the Board for the Alliance Community Foundation, which provides charitable planned giving services to individuals and their professional advisors.

Dan is also the Philanthropy Architect for Convoy of Hope. He coaches philanthropists, solicits principal gifts and conducts charitable gift and estate planning.


Rick Pendykoski

Rick Pendykoski is the owner of Self Directed Retirement Plans LLC, a retirement planning firm based in Goodyear, AZ. He brings over 30 years of diverse experience as a financial advisor.


The Financial Awareness Foundation

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we were established to significantly improve financial awareness and financial literacy.

The Foundation serves as a nonpolitical “financial awareness advocate” for the general public, the financial service and nonprofit professionals and their organizations, educational institutions, employers, and municipalities.


Steven Zeiger

Steven received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, from the State University of New York at Albany. He received his Advanced Insurance degree from the Wharton School of Business and his Trust and Estate Practitioners designation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). 

Steven plays a central role in advancing WaxmanLawson Financials leadership in the Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI) marketplace and is in charge of the Firm’s expansion in the NY, NJ and CT area. He also works with clients and their advisors to implement M proprietary life and disability products since off-the-shelf products cannot meet the needs of Ultra High Net Worth Clients.  He advises both domestic and international families and their advisors on the efficient use of private placement life insurance and annuities to help enhance after tax yields on their investments.


Anthony Glomski

Anthony Glomski is Principal and Founder of AG Asset Advisory, an SEC-registered investment advisory firm that works with tech entrepreneurs and business owners approaching liquidity.  He is an alumnus of KMPG, a member of the Milken Institute’s Young Leaders Circle and the Silicon Beach Surfers, and is involved with various charity organizations.  Anthony is a contributor on and is authoring a forthcoming book on how entrepreneurs facing liquidity events can make smart decisions about their wealth.


William Walsh, CLU, CFP, ChFC, AEP

William Walsh has worked in the financial services field since 1980, most of that time as a planner in private practice. For the last fifteen years he has focused on complex planning cases including using planned giving techniques. He is an avid runner and has three ultra-marathons to his credit. He lives in Dunedin, Florida.


Eric Weiner, PhD

Eric Weiner's work centers on helping people successfully transfer the values, dreams, family stories, and legacies associated with money from the past to the present, and well into the future.


Arizona State University Foundation

The foundation is a private, nonprofit organization that raises and invests private contributions to Arizona State University. It is one of Arizona’s oldest nonprofits. Specifically, the foundation:

  • Facilitates and receives all contributions to ASU, including that from individuals, corporations, foundations, and any other private source
  • Coordinates and directs major fundraising campaigns on behalf of ASU
  • Oversees development efforts of ASU Enterprise Partners
  • Disburses contributions according to the expressed wishes of the donor
  • Oversees management of investment assets
  • Actively promotes a culture of philanthropy and generosity at ASU
